Clayton Lane is a seasoned expert in sustainable transportation and urban development, currently serving as Senior Principal at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates since 2023, focusing on managing large transit projects across the United States. Previously, Lane held significant roles including Global Public Policy and Sustainability lead at Bird, where efforts were concentrated on promoting eco-friendly micromobility, and Chief Partnership and Strategy Officer at GoAscendal, aimed at enhancing public transport equity while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As CEO of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy, Lane championed innovative solutions for climate change and urban livability. Additional leadership experiences include Deputy Director at the World Resources Institute Ross Center for Sustainable Cities and co-founder of PhillyCarShare.
