Luke Dalton has extensive experience in the hydrogen industry, with a focus on advanced engineering and technology development. Luke is currently the Director of Advanced Engineering at Nel Hydrogen, a role they have held since June 2019. Before that, they worked at Nel Hydrogen (formerly Proton OnSite, Proton Energy Systems) from 2014 to 2019, where they served as the Manager of Advanced Technologies & Systems. In this role, they oversaw research advancements in cell stack and system technologies, coordinated the transition from research to product implementation, and managed government contracts. Prior to their time at Nel Hydrogen, Dalton worked at Proton OnSite from 2001 to 2014, holding various positions including Program Manager in Research & Development and in Military & Aerospace. During this time, they managed government contracts, led teams of engineers and technicians, and contributed to the development of regenerative fuel cell systems for aerospace applications. Throughout their career, Dalton has demonstrated strong technical expertise and leadership abilities in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell technology.
Luke Dalton began their education at Xavier High School from 1991 to 1995. Luke then enrolled in Dartmouth College from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained an Artium Baccalaureus (A.B.) degree in Engineering Sciences. Luke further pursued their education at Dartmouth College from 1999 to 2001, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering, with a focus on Fluid and Thermal Sciences.
