Karen Hatlestad is an experienced adult education instructor currently teaching High Intermediate/Civics and online GED classes at Neighborhood House since September 2015. Karen has served as an on-call substitute teacher at multiple institutions, including a long-term position at Vietnamese Social Services of Minnesota and past roles at MORE Multicultural School for Empowerment and Hmong American Partnership. Additionally, Karen taught low beginning classes at Vietnamese Social Services of Minnesota and held various roles in culinary support at organizations like Sodexo and the Girl Scout Council of Minnesota & Wisconsin River Valleys. Karen holds a Minnesota Teaching License in Adult Education from Hamline University and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from Morningside University.
