Brian Kirkby has a long and varied work history. Brian began their career in 1992 as a Software Developer Consultant for Novell, followed by a position as Director of Technology for Concentrico, INC. in 2000. In 2005, they joined Adobe Systems as a Sr. Computer Scientist (Software Developer). In 2010, they became a Senior Software Engineer / Individual Contributor for Zappos.com. In 2016, they were hired as a Lead Software Engineer for Instructure, and in 2019 they took on a part-time role as an Instructor for Advanced React for BloomTech. Most recently, in 2020, they accepted a position as Engineering Manager for Neighbor.

Brian Kirkby obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Development from Western Governors University between 2018 and 2020.
