Marion S. Gold is a seasoned professional in energy policy and environmental science, currently serving as Senior Advisor at The Ad Hoc Group, Inc. and the National Association of State Energy Officials, as well as President of the Board at Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships. Gold has been a Commissioner at the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission since July 2016, and previously held a similar role at the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources from 2012 to 2016. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Science & Policy from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the University of Rhode Island. Prior experience also includes serving as Director of the URI Mallon Center from 2005 to 2012.
