Bob Portera is an accomplished Transportation Engineer Manager with extensive experience in the field of civil engineering. Currently serving at Neel-Schaffer since March 2008, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge from previous roles, including Transportation Department Manager and Partner at Gresham, Smith and Partners from January 1997 to February 2008, and Location Engineer at the Alabama Department of Transportation from December 1989 to August 1995. Earlier positions include Project Engineer at Michael Baker Corporation, Area Engineer/Assistant Engineering Coordinator at the Federal Highway Administration, and various engineering assistant roles at the Alabama Department of Transportation. Bob Portera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, earned from 1971 to 1975.
