Mike Willemse started their work experience in 1995 at IBM as a Software Account Manager. After working at IBM for four years, they went on to join Deloitte Consulting (Pty) in 1999 as an Executive Lead (Senior Manager). Mike held this position for 14 years until 2013 when they joined Nedbank as the Lead Architect Business Architecture.

Mike Willemse attended the University of Cape Town from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Sandown High School. Mike also attended Sweet Valley Primary school, but the dates are unknown.
