Omar Ramirez Gonzalez, MS has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Omar is currently working at NECI as an Automation Engineering Manager, leading the Professional Services team. Previously, they worked at Habasit as a Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Manager, where they successfully managed a team of 20 employees and implemented safety improvements, process enhancements, and cost-cutting measures. Prior to that, they held engineering roles at QuEST Global, where they served as a Structures Team Lead, Acting Program Manager/Engineering Development, and Mechanical Design Team Lead, providing technical leadership, project management, and customer support to Pratt & Whitney. Omar also has experience in the sports industry, having worked as an official for USA Volleyball and CBVO, as well as holding coaching positions at Take a Chance Foundation, New Haven Juniors Volleyball Club, Albertus Magnus College, and Triple Crown Sports. Additionally, Omar served as the Head Volleyball Coach at Albertus Magnus College, leading both the men's and women's programs.

Omar Ramirez Gonzalez, MS has a solid educational background in engineering. Omar completed their Master of Engineering and Operations Management degree in Engineering/Industrial Management at the University of New Haven from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, also from the University of New Haven, from 2003 to 2008.

In addition to their academic achievements, Omar has also acquired several certifications. In July 2022, they obtained the DeltaV 7016 certification from Emerson Automation Solutions. In June 2022, they obtained the DeltaV 7009 certification from the same institution. In November 2019, they completed the OSHA 30 HR General Industry Safety & Health certification from the OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District.

Furthermore, Omar holds the Export Control Officer certification, which they acquired in May 2017. In July 2016, they completed the Lean Six Sigma certification. Prior to that, in November 2013, they obtained the AS9100 Internal Auditor certification from NQA. Omar also holds various certifications related to their involvement in volleyball coaching, including the FIVB I Coach certification acquired in July 2013, the USA Volleyball CAP II certification obtained in February 2013, the USA Volleyball CAP I certification (superseded by USA Cap II) obtained in August 2011, and the USA Volleyball IMPACT certification (superseded by USA Cap I) acquired in August 2011. Lastly, they obtained the First Aid/CPR/AED certification from Red Cross in August 2012.
