Shayan Ali Bhatti

Shayan Ali Bhatti has a diverse work experience starting in 2011 as an Engineer Intern at Pakistan State Oil Company. From 2013 to 2016, they founded and managed Raspberry PI Pakistan Store, successfully generating significant sales. In 2014, they worked as a Software Engineer at Digitec Systems, contributing to hardware and software development projects.

In 2017, Shayan became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota Duluth and also worked as a Software Engineering Research Assistant on a transportation project. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at TMMD Consulting, developing various ML and Python-based software for clients.

In 2020, they joined NEC Laboratories America, Inc. as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they played a key role in automating grocery purchase and selling experiences for stores in California. Shayan Ali'sresponsibilities included Python-based software development, data collection, image processing, and deploying models on AWS.

In 2021, Shayan transitioned to NEC X Inc., initially working as a Back End & Machine Learning Engineer and later as an Engineering Project Manager. In this role, they designed a Docker-based system for testing and development purposes, supporting the research team.

Shayan Ali Bhatti completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician from NED University of Engineering and Technology from 2010 to 2014. Shayan Ali later pursued a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth, which they completed from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Shayan has also obtained various certifications. Shayan Ali completed the Intel IoT Edge AI with OpenVINO certification from Intel Corporation in March 2020. In February 2020, they obtained the Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals certification from Coursera. Shayan has also completed several Coursera courses, including the Advanced Data Science Capstone in June 2019, Applied AI with DeepLearning in June 2019, Advanced Machine Learning and Signal Processing in May 2019, Fundamentals of Scalable Data Science in May 2019, Deep Learning Specialization in February 2019, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization in January 2019, Structuring Machine Learning Projects in January 2019, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning in December 2018. Furthermore, they have obtained the Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) certification from Coursera in September 2018.

Shayan has also acquired various certifications in Java Programming from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016. These include Java Programming: Principles of Software Design in August 2016, Java Programming: Arrays, Lists, and Structured Data in July 2016, Java Programming: Solving Problems with Software in June 2016, and Programming and the Web for Beginners in January 2016.

Most recently, in March 2021, Shayan obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
