Matthias Walters is a dedicated research assistant currently engaged in multiple roles at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, including positions in the Molecular Parasitology Lab and Exercise Physiology Lab, as well as serving as a chemistry mentor and math tutor. Additionally, Matthias has experience as a speech coach and judge for the Nebraska School Activities Association and worked as a contract biologist at Offutt Air Force Base. A SURP Scholar in Dr. Jonathan Vennerstrom's Medicinal Chemistry Lab at the University of Nebraska Medical Center further contributes to a strong background in biology and medicinal chemistry. Matthias is pursuing a Master of Science in Biology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, building on a Bachelor of Science degree in Medicinal Chemistry, Biology, and Philosophy earned at the same institution.
