Preetam R. has over a decade of work experience in the technology industry. Preetam started their career at Mistral Solutions Pvt. Ltd in 2010, where they worked as a Module Lead. In this role, they were responsible for developing, integrating, and testing device drivers for audio chipsets, power management, and sensors. Preetam also worked on various end products such as tablets and cellphones for different vendors.

In 2014, Preetam joined Mistral Solutions Inc as a Computer System Analyst, where they continued to contribute to the development and testing of software solutions.

In 2015, Preetam moved to Neato Robotics as a Software Engineer. Here, they gained extensive experience in board bringup, microcontroller firmware, Linux kernel, and device driver development. Preetam also worked on firmware for subsystems like LDS (LiDaR technology) and sensor hub implementation. Additionally, they developed manufacturing and diagnostic test suites.

Most recently, in 2023, Preetam joined Renesas Electronics as a Staff System Engineer, where they are currently involved in various engineering projects.

Preetam R. pursued their education in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering from 2003 to 2009 at Visvesvaraya Technological University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree. Prior to that, they completed their 10+2 education in Information Technology from Kendriya Vidyalaya from 2001 to 2003.
