Adrian Wilkins-Caruana is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Nearmap since July 2023 and a Writer for AI Research at Unbox Research since April 2022, where information about machine learning research is distilled into accessible blog posts. Previously, Adrian worked as a Machine Learning Scientist at Atlassian from August 2022 to July 2023, focusing on building workflows to monitor data drift and developing internal tools for machine learning model deployment. Adrian's experience also includes a Machine Learning Engineer role at Nearmap from January 2019 to August 2022, contributing to the optimization of AI product development and deployment processes. Earlier work includes researching AI applications in video encoding as a Hardware Engineer at Blackmagic Design and a Mathematics Tutor during self-employment. Adrian is currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Technology Sydney, expected to be completed in 2024, and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering.
