Andrea Weyand has extensive experience in antenatal education and support, currently serving as an antenatal teacher and peer support trainer at NCT Charity since October 2008. In these roles, Andrea provides evidence-based antenatal classes, individualized support, and training for peer supporters, focusing on topics such as breastfeeding and perinatal mental health. Previously, Andrea worked as a breastfeeding counsellor, delivering workshops and offering personalized guidance to parents. Prior to this, Andrea served as a community interpreter and translator from 1999 to 2011 and held the position of senior social worker at the German Advice Centre from 1998 to 2009, providing advice on EU regulations, immigration, and social security. Andrea's educational background includes a higher diploma in antenatal education and a diploma in breastfeeding counselling from the University of Bedford and University of Bedfordshire, along with a degree in social pedagogy from Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences.
