Dawn White is a seasoned professional in materials science and engineering with extensive leadership experience in various technological sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since May 2021, Dawn also holds the position of Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences. As an instructor for the Entrepreneurship Practicum at the University of Michigan Center for Entrepreneurship since September 2015, Dawn imparts valuable knowledge to aspiring entrepreneurs. Previously, Dawn was the CEO of Perisense, an Industrial Internet of Things company, as well as the Co-Founder and President/CTO of Accio Energy, specializing in wind energy technology. Dawn's career began with significant roles at Solidica, Inc., Ford Motor Company, and MTS Systems after earning a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, an MS in Materials Science and Engineering, and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
