Previously, Jonathan held multiple auditing roles at the NC Office of the State Auditor, where responsibilities included leading higher education institutional audits, mentoring staff, and collaborating on audit strategies. Jonathan's early career included a financial analyst internship at Volvo Trucks and a graduate assistant position at Appalachian State University, contributing to significant revenue increases and operational efficiencies. Jonathan holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Appalachian State University.
