Battle Whitley currently serves as the Urban Freeway Manager at NCDOT, overseeing Interstate and freeway facilities in the Triangle Region of North Carolina with a focus on mobility and maintenance. Prior to this role, Battle held various positions at Ramey Kemp Associates, including Public Sector Services Manager, Director of Business Development, and Senior Transportation Engineer, contributing to diverse aspects of public sector services and traffic operations. Battle's extensive experience at NCDOT spans over 25 years, with roles such as Division Maintenance Engineer and District Engineer across multiple districts. Battle holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University and has completed the Senior Management Program in Transportation Operations, Planning, and Incident Management at the Operations Academy.
