Karen Tong currently serves as the Senior Director & Legal Counsel at the National Basketball Association (NBA) since April 2023. Prior roles include Legal Consultant at Wellington Legal from June 2020 to March 2023, Outside Counsel for Mattel, Inc. between April 2018 and March 2023, and Legal Consultant at Axiom from February 2015 to March 2023, during which advisory services were provided to notable clients such as Uber, Microsoft, Mattel, and the NBA. Additionally, Karen Tong held positions as Legal Counsel at BBC Worldwide for a brief period in 2015 and as Associate Counsel at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. from April 2007 to December 2014, following an early career as a Corporate Solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 2004 to 2006. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from UCL and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the City University of Hong Kong.
