Marc Zimmermann has a diverse work experience in the fields of energy storage, electrochemistry, and supercapacitors. marc started their career as an Ouvrier de laboratoire at Cezus (Areva) in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Stagiaire at the Département de Chimie Moléculaire - DCM - Université Grenoble-Alpes, where they focused on the synthesis and characterization of biocapteurs.

From 2011 to 2015, Marc worked at Hutchinson as an Ingénieur d'étude and later as a Doctorant. In these roles, they conducted prospective research on lithium-air technology, designed and implemented experiments for characterizations, and collaborated with technical teams to develop new characterization techniques. marc also supervised interns and taught Electrochemistry and Batteries at the Master level.

In 2015, they joined NAWATechnologies and held various roles, including Ingenieur R&D Electrochimie & Cell assembly and Electrochemistry & Cell Assembly Team Manager. In these positions, they developed supercapacitors using innovative electrode materials, implemented a supercapacitor production line, and participated in technical orientations as an electrochemistry expert. marc also managed a team of 10 people.

Since 2023, Marc has been working as the Energy Storage Senior Manager at NAWATechnologies, taking on additional responsibilities in the company's energy storage division.

Marc Zimmermann received their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Batteries Lithium-Air from Université Grenoble Alpes between 2012 and 2015. Prior to that, they pursued their Diplôme d'ingénieur degree in Electrochimie Matériaux Procédés from Grenoble INP - Phelma, completing it between 2008 and 2011.
