Michael Best is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in database administration and technical database engineering. Currently serving as a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator and Technical Database Engineer at Navisite since March 2020, Michael previously worked at RDX from November 2011 to March 2020 as a SQL Server DBA and Junior DBA, focusing on the stability and recoverability of client database servers across multiple platforms. Prior to transitioning into IT, Michael held the role of Lead Carpenter and Project Manager at Harpel's Contracting and Remodeling from March 1999 to November 2011, and served as an Instructor/Diver for SNUBA Tours of Oahu, Inc. from August 1996 to February 1999. Michael's military background includes serving as a trumpet player in the U.S. Army from October 1989 to June 1996. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Security from the University of Phoenix between 2008 and 2011.
