Vladimir Bashkatov has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Vladimir currently serves as the Chief Engineer at Navigator Gas, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Gas Tankers Course Instructor at Admiral Ushakov State Maritime University Training Center starting in June 2018. From March 2014 to December 2019, they held the position of 2nd Engineer on LPG/ETHYLENE/ETHANE at Northern Marine Manning Services Ltd. In this role, they were responsible for understudying the Chief Engineer, training engineer cadets, and ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of various machinery. Before that, they worked as a 3rd Engineer at VShips Norway AS from November 2010 to August 2011, where they were responsible for the maintenance and repair of specific vessel equipment. From April 2008 to October 2010, they served as a 4th Engineer at VShips Norway AS, responsible for various equipment systems. Prior to their maritime career, they worked as a PC Repair Technician at Novorossiysk State Marine Academy from November 2003 to April 2005.
Vladimir Bashkatov pursued their education in the field of ships energy machinery operation. From 2002 to 2008, they attended Novorossiysk State Maritime Academy, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in this discipline. Later, from 2017 to 2022, they embarked on a correspondence postgraduate study at Admiral Ushakov State Maritime University specifically focusing on the operation of ships' energy machinery (main and auxiliary).
