Ryan Sladek has worked in various roles since 2008. Ryan began their career as a High School Social Studies Teacher and Coach for West Aurora School District 129, where they also coordinated the Link Crew mentoring program. In 2013, they moved to Aurora Public Schools as a Dean of Students, Trainer, Supervisor and Mentor for multiple teams, and was the Attendance and Behavior Supports team leader and Caseload manager for truant and behavior students. In 2017, they began working as a Promotional Sales Specialist for Breakthru Beverage Group. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as an Account Executive for Navigate360.

Ryan Sladek received a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Iowa between 2003 and 2008. In 2018, they obtained an Educational Leadership certification from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2015-2016, they obtained a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the University of Northern Colorado. In 2022, they obtained Sales Strategies and Approaches in a New World of Selling and Sales Fundamentals certifications from LinkedIn. In 2008, they obtained a Social Studies Secondary Education certification from the University of Iowa.
