Sean Friele has worked in the engineering field since 2014. In that time, they have held positions at Operativ Medical, NextStep Arthropedix, DuPont Vespel, Reuter-Stokes, a Baker Hughes business, LORD Corporation, A Part of Parker Hannifin, and Navier. At Operativ Medical, they were a Design Engineer and worked on total knee arthroplasty medical tool design and development. At NextStep Arthropedix, they were a Development Engineer and was in charge of several projects concurrently cradle to grave, including regulatory and inspection paperwork. At DuPont Vespel, they were a CAD Tooling Designer and designed tooling fixtures and created documentation and inspection drawings. At Reuter-Stokes, a Baker Hughes business, they were a Manufacturing Engineer II and led a $300,000 capital project for neutron detector gas shop stand renovation. At LORD Corporation, A Part of Parker Hannifin, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer and was responsible for the full design process and organizing design review meetings. Lastly, at Navier, they are currently a Mechanical Engineer.
Sean Friele graduated from Stony Brook University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Biomechanical and Medical Device Engineering. Sean then continued their studies at Stony Brook University Graduate School, where they earned a Master of Science in the same field in 2017. In October 2019, they obtained a SolidWorks Certified Professional certification from Dassault Systèmes.
