Kainoa Gaddis has had a varied work experience. From 2017 to present, they have worked as a Mechanical Engineer for NAVATEK, LTD. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a FEA Support Engineer for BETA CAE Systems USA, Inc. and as a Structural and Dynamic Analysis Engineering Intern for Daimler Trucks North America. From 2013 to 2015, they were an Engineering Intern for Stanley Hydraulic Tools, where they designed and fabricated an endurance test fixture for high-torque hydraulic impact wrenches and designed a cooling system for impact wrenches during endurance tests. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Concessions Worker - College Work Study for Bon Appétit Management Company, as a Summer Head Intermediate Basketball Coach for Punahou School, and as a Summer Fun Leader for the City and County of Honolulu. In 2011, they worked as a Hawaii Club Activities Coordinator for the University of Portland.
Kainoa Gaddis began their educational journey in 2005, when they graduated from Punahou School with a High School Diploma. Kainoa then attended the University of Portland from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Afterwards, Gaddis attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where they obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. In May 2013, Gaddis also obtained a certification as an Engineering Intern (E.I.T.) from the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying.
