Makeisha Foster

Combat Systems Engineer (team Lead) at Naval Sea Systems Command

Makeisha Foster has a diverse work experience spanning multiple government agencies and departments. Makeisha started their career as a Process Improvement Engineer at the Department of the Navy in 2011 and then moved on to work as a Patent Examiner-Mechanical Engineering Art Unit at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In 2013, they transitioned to the Bureau of Labor Statistics as a Systems Requirements Developer/Economist. Makeisha then joined the U.S. Department of Energy as a Mathematical Statistician in 2014 and later moved on to the USDA as a Survey Statistician. In 2016, they joined the U.S. Census Bureau in the same role. Prior to their current position, Makeisha worked as a Manpower Requirements Analyst at the United States Air Force. Makeisha is currently working as a Combat Systems Engineer (Team Lead) at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) since 2022.

Makeisha Foster holds a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics and a Master's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Makeisha also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Christopher Newport University. In addition to their degrees, Makeisha has completed various certifications, including Time Management Fundamentals, Communication Foundations, and Getting Started with Microsoft 365 from LinkedIn. Makeisha has also obtained certifications in business-related topics such as project management and administrative professionalism.
