Marjolein Demmers is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in sustainability and environmental management. Serving as Director at Natuur & Milieu since November 2017, Marjolein also contributes as a Member of the Supervisory Board at FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, since May 2020. Marjolein holds the position of Chair of the Supervisory Board at DRIFT for transition and is involved with the KIN Stuurgroep under NWO since March 2024, focusing on climate research initiatives. Additional roles include Board Member at SKAO and former Board Member at AquaMinerals B.V. Marjolein has held advisory positions with the Raad voor de leefomgeving en infrastructuur and the Stichting Milieukeur. Previous leadership includes serving as Chair of the Board at Ecopreneur and Director at Dutch Sustainable Business. Marjolein holds a Master's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, an MBA from INSEAD, and various other credentials in business education.
