David Gunnarsson has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. David started their career as a Consultant at FOI, the Swedish Defence Research Agency, in 2003. From there, they pursued a PhD at Umeå University, specializing in Molecular Biology from 2004 to 2009. David then worked as a Research Officer at the European CBRNE Center in 2009 before becoming a Public Health Planning Officer at the Swedish National Institute of Public Health later that year. In 2018, David served as a Member of the Board (Alternate) at ChemSec. In 2019, they joined the European Environmental Bureau as a Technical Expert for EU Ecolabel, and the following year, they became the Head of Unit at Naturskyddsföreningen (SSNC), where they were also the Product Manager for Ecolabelling of Chemical Products and Assistant Head of Department. Additionally, they currently hold the position of a Member (ledamot) at the Swedish Standards Consumers & Workers Council (SKA-rådet) since 2022.
David Gunnarsson pursued their doctoral studies in Reproductive Toxicology at Umeå University from 2004 to 2009. Prior to this, there is no recorded information on their education, except for attending Västerhöjdsskolan, for an unspecified period.
