Mats Wedin is a Professor and Senior Curator at the Swedish Museum of Natural History, a position held since March 2006. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Researcher at the Swedish Research Council, positioned at Umeå University and the Swedish Museum of Natural History from January 2002 to December 2007, and as a Senior Lecturer at Umeå University from January 2000 to February 2006. Mats Wedin also worked as a Researcher at The Natural History Museum from January 1996 to December 1999 and completed a Postdoc at the University of Graz in 1995. Educational achievements include a PhD in Systematic Botany and an MSc in Scientific Subjects Education, both from Uppsala University, with the PhD obtained between 1987 and 1994 and the MSc from 1982 to 1987.
