Deborah Papernick is responsible for delivering efficient and effective finance, administration, information management and technology, human resources, legal, insurance, and risk management services in support of national and regional leadership teams across Canada. Prior to joining the Nature Conservancy of Canada, she was a senior managing director with CBRE, the largest global commercial real estate, and investment firm. Here, she led an account team delivering services across Canada for a Fortune 100 client within the retail sector. Deborah held several account roles for a large financial services client, where she led finance, procurement, and technology. Before joining CBRE, Deborah was the chief financial officer of a publicly-traded income trust and has held numerous financial leadership roles in retail and business-to-business service organizations.
In addition to volunteering for several organizations throughout her career, Deborah is currently pursuing the Non-Profit and Voluntary Sector Management Certificate through Ryerson University. With over 25 years of experience, she brings strong financial acumen along with expertise in performance management, change leadership, technology deployments, and talent development.
