Resource Conservationist at Natural Resources Conservation Service

Shelly Ward is an experienced Resource Conservationist currently employed with the Natural Resources Conservation Service since December 2020, focusing on administering the Farm Bill's Environmental Quality Incentive Program and Conservation Stewardship Program to support farmers and ranchers in addressing environmental concerns. Previous roles include serving as a District Conservationist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service for over two decades, where responsibilities included assisting in conservation planning and improving irrigation efficiency. Prior experience as a Soil Conservationist with the Bureau of Indian Affairs involved conservation planning and lease compliance. Shelly Ward holds three Bachelor's degrees in Wildlife Biology and General Biology from Missouri State University, completed between May 1983 and May 1987.
