Kristy Perano

Kristy Perano is a Field Office Engineer with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, providing expertise in agricultural engineering for Nevada and Placer counties in California since January 2021. Responsibilities include assisting clients with designs for Environmental Quality Incentive Program contracts and offering technical support for irrigation and livestock watering systems. Prior to this role, Kristy served as a Graduate Student at Cornell University from August 2012 to June 2020, focusing on innovative systems to alleviate heat stress in dairy cattle and working as a Teaching Assistant for Bio Fluid Mechanics. Kristy holds a PhD and MS in Biological and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University, as well as a BS in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
