Doug Ottke is a skilled civil engineering technician with a strong background in environmental conservation and land use planning. Currently employed at the Natural Resources Conservation Service since September 2016, Doug conducts engineering surveys and gathers resource inventory data to support conservation practices. Previous experience includes roles as a soil conservation technician, wherein Doug evaluated soil erosion and provided technical assistance for conservation structures, and as a comprehensive land use planning expert during service in the Peace Corps Philippines, where Doug contributed to disaster risk management planning and utilized QGIS for mapping purposes. Earlier experiences include GIS work in Peace Corps Mexico and geological analysis with Epoch, Pason and Rellstab Services, as well as an internship with the United States Geological Survey. Doug holds a Master's degree in Geography from the University of North Dakota and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Earlham College.
