Giles Miller has extensive experience in the field of micropalaeontology, serving as Senior Curator at the Natural History Museum since January 1994. In this role, Giles manages curatorial staff and oversees the Ores and Petrology collections while also coordinating digitisation efforts within the department of Earth Science. Giles holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Micropalaeontology from the University of Leicester and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Nottingham. Early education was completed at Latymer Upper School.
