Russell Bentz is an experienced software engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering Product Manager at Nationwide Insurance since February 2015. Responsibilities at Nationwide include ownership of Commercial Lines Systems applications and technical leadership on transformational programs related to modernized platforms. Prior to Nationwide, Russell held the position of Manager of IT Applications at Harleysville Insurance, where management of application development for claims and implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter were key duties. Experience also includes software development leadership at Towers Watson, focusing on pension valuation systems, and early career work as a Programmer Analyst with Central Dauphin School District. Russell holds a degree in Computer Science from Lebanon Valley College.
