Starlyn Lara currently serves as the Lead Veteran Service Officer at Nation's Finest, where responsibilities include assisting low-income veterans in obtaining federal and state benefits and navigating the claims process. Previously, Starlyn managed the Women Veterans Program at Swords to Plowshares, focusing on program planning and raising awareness of women veterans. Starlyn's military background includes serving as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Active Duty from 1995 to 2007, where significant achievements included managing human resources and receiving multiple service awards for contributions during deployments. Starlyn holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Organizational Communication from California State University - East Bay, along with a Certificate in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Golden Gate University and an Associate's Degree in Business Management from Barstow Community College.
