Michelle Corry

Vice President For Organizational Excellence at National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP)

Michelle Corry has a diverse range of work experience in various organizations. Michelle started their career as a Case Manager at the No/AIDS Task Force in 1993, where they provided case management services to adults with HIV and AIDS. Michelle then worked as a Home Care Therapist and Case Manager at Visiting Nurse Service, providing therapy and case management services to disabled and elderly adults.

In 1997, Michelle became a Therapist at Connecting Point, where they provided counseling services. Michelle then joined Ohio Youth Advocate Program in 1999 as a Clinical Team Leader. In this role, they provided leadership and support to a clinical team.

In 2002, Michelle joined EMQ as a Clinical Program Manager, where they managed clinical programs. Michelle then returned to Ohio Youth Advocate Program in 2004 as a Regional Director, overseeing operations in a specific region.

Michelle's experience with the National Youth Advocate Program began in 2005 as a Director of Quality Advancement. Michelle supervised and managed quality advancement activities for multiple programs.

In 2006, Michelle joined NYAP as the Director of Quality Advancement and Program Excellence. Michelle developed and implemented quality advancement activities for the organization and provided support to state directors and regional administrators. In 2008, they became the Director of Clinical Services at NYAP, where they provided clinical leadership and oversaw various programs.

Michelle's most recent role was as the Vice President for Organizational Excellence at NYAP, where they provided operational oversight and leadership for multiple state non-profit organizations. Michelle led the integration of clinical and business initiatives and ensured compliance with national accreditation and state licensing requirements.

Throughout their career, Michelle has demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership, program management, quality advancement, and staff development.

Michelle Corry has a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree in Clinical/Medical Social Work from the University of Houston, which they obtained from 1988 to 1992. Michelle also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Oakland University, which they earned from 1980 to 1985. In addition, they hold certifications as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) from the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board, obtained in 1997, and as a Certified Wrap Around trainer from the Wraparound Institute.
