Megan Murphy has a diverse work experience in the field of mental health. Megan began their career in 2011 as a Student Intern at Bluegrass Nutrition Counseling, where they provided nutritional counseling and developed dietary-care plans. In 2012, they worked as a Mental Health Associate at Eastern State Hospital, facilitating therapy sessions and creating behavioral plans for patients.
Megan then served as a Counselor in Training-Practicum Student Intern at The InnerView, where they implemented individual treatment plans using various therapy methods. Following that, they interned at Bradford Health Services, conducting assessments and coordinating care for individuals dealing with addiction and mental health issues.

Megan holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Eastern Kentucky University, which they completed from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution, from 2012 to 2014. Megan completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Services from the University of Kentucky, from 2007 to 2011. Megan has also obtained certification as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) from Indiana PLA in April 2016.
