Sherry Swain is an experienced educational professional with a background in curriculum and instruction. Currently, Sherry serves as a Senior Research Associate at the National Writing Project since September 2003. Prior to this role, Sherry was the Director of the Mississippi Writing/Thinking Institute from June 1993 to July 2003 and worked as a Teacher in Starkville Public Schools from 1972 until May 1993. Sherry holds a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Mississippi State University and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Mississippi.
