Karen Chichester is an experienced educator with a focus on English and Special Education. Currently employed at Jefferson Schools in Monroe, MI, since 1985, Karen teaches Special Education English for grades 9-12 as well as general education English for grades 9 and 10. In addition, Karen owns MacChyver Tech, providing professional development and training as a Google Education Trainer and Technology Integration Specialist. As a Fellow and Teacher Consultant for the National Writing Project, Karen enhances writing instruction through both traditional and technological methods. Previous roles include Technology Liaison for the Eastern Michigan Writing Project and co-host of the EdTech Classroom Podcast. Karen holds a BS in Education from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Oakland University.
