Elyse Eidman-Aadahl has extensive experience in education, particularly in writing and curriculum development. From 1995 to 2014, Elyse served as the Director of National Programs and Site Development at the National Writing Project. Prior to that role, Elyse was the Director of the Maryland Writing Project and a faculty member in Education at Towson University from 1988 to 1995. Elyse also worked as a Program Lead/Evaluator at MARJiS from 1985 to 1992 and taught humanities and journalism as well as served as a newspaper advisor at Westminster High School between 1979 and 1985. Elyse earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education with a focus on Curriculum Theory from the University of Maryland, completing the degree between 1987 and 1992.
