Salvador Sena, PhD, DABCC, currently serves as a Senior Clinical Laboratory Consultant at CTI Clinical Trial Services, Inc. since December 2020 and as the Laboratory Director at National Spine & Pain Centers since January 2020. With extensive experience in clinical chemistry, Salvador held the position of Medical Director for Clinical Chemistry and Point-of-Care Testing at Danbury Health Systems from 1987 until December 2020. Additionally, Salvador has been a member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry since 1984 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Chemistry at Hartford Hospital from 1983 to 1986. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Trinity College-Hartford. Areas of expertise include clinical consultation, technology assessment, regulatory compliance, quality control and assurance, performance improvement, and teaching pathology residents and clinical laboratory sciences students.
