Dr. Alicia S. Conerly serves as an Instructional Specialist for Marion County School District MS since July 2023 and holds the position of NSTA President-Elect at the National Science Teaching Association while previously directing the Multicultural/Equity Division from 2020 to 2023. Dr. Conerly has extensive experience in educational leadership, having been the School Principal at Monticello Elementary School from July 2018 to July 2023 and the Assistant Principal at Hazlehurst City School District from July 2016 to June 2020. With a background as a K-12 Science Specialist and a High School Science Teacher, Dr. Conerly's foundation in teaching began as an Elementary School Teacher. Educational qualifications include a Master of Art in Teaching from William Carey University, a certification in STEM from Mississippi College, and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Dr. Conerly also holds a Bachelor of Science in Cytotechnology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
