Carey Wagner serves as the President of the National Press Photographers Association since January 2024 and has been the Director, Cinematographer, Editor, and Content Strategist at Carey Wagner Photography since September 2011. With extensive experience in visual storytelling, Wagner has collaborated with notable clients including CARE, Girls Who Code, and TIME Magazine, producing award-winning multimedia content. Past roles include Nikon School Instructor, where Wagner trained over 100,000 participants in photography, and Investigative Photojournalist Fellow for the International Reporting Project, focusing on gender issues in Indonesia. Additionally, Wagner's early career featured work as a photojournalist for various media outlets, winning accolades for coverage on critical social issues. Wagner holds a B.A. in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley, complemented by international study experiences in Chile.
