Gustavo F. Trindade is a Senior Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory, specializing in advancing measurement capabilities of 3D molecular imaging within the National Centre of Excellence in Mass Spectrometry Imaging since August 2021. Previously, Trindade served as a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham from March 2018 to August 2021, focusing on the chemical analysis of interfaces in multi-material, multi-functional 3D printed devices for pharmaceuticals and electronics. Prior to this role, Trindade was a Research Associate and PhD Researcher at the University of Surrey from April 2014 to March 2018, where the focus was on surface chemical analysis of polymer materials and development of data analytics for hyperspectral imaging. A Graduate Fellow at Universidade de São Paulo from October 2013 to April 2014, Trindade conducted PIXE and XRF characterization of tooth enamel. Trindade holds a PhD in Surface Analysis and Materials Science from the University of Surrey, an MSc in Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, and a BSc in Physics from the same institution.
