Gareth Hinds is a recognized expert in electrochemistry, currently serving as a Senior NPL Fellow and Science Area Leader in the Electrochemistry Group at the National Physical Laboratory since October 2002. In addition to this role, Gareth holds prominent positions as Vice-President of the European Federation of Corrosion and President of the World Corrosion Organization, both starting in 2023 and 2022, respectively. Previously, Gareth served as Past President of the Institute of Corrosion from November 2018 to November 2020. Gareth completed a PhD in Electrochemistry at Trinity College Dublin, where studies took place from 1992 to 2002.
