Samantha Nygaard is an experienced professional with a diverse background in environmental advocacy, program management, and communications. Currently serving as the Refuse Education and Clean-Up Effort Coordinator at West Side Neighborhood Association since April 2024 and as the West Virginia Program Manager for the National Parks Conservation Association since January 2022, Samantha has a strong track record in sustainability initiatives. Previous roles include Assistant Impact Fellowship Director at Generation West Virginia and Destination Sales Manager at the State of West Virginia's Tourism Office. Samantha's early career includes account management at Dimension Design, social media coordination for FSU Sustainable Campus, and advocacy as the Director of the Inter-Residence Hall Council at Florida State University. Samantha holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Media/Communication Studies from Florida State University, completed in 2016.
