Nik Moy is an experienced conservation scientist currently serving as the Conservation Science Senior Program Manager at the National Parks Conservation Association since September 2019. In this role, Nik designs and operates the geospatial arm of conservation science, focusing on equitable access to nature and promoting climate resilience around national parks. Prior to this position, Nik worked at NatureServe as a User Experience & Design Specialist and LandScope America Coordinator, where responsibilities included designing science communication materials and coordinating GIS data for large landscape conservation initiatives. Nik also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching various biology courses. Educational achievements include a Master’s Degree in Biology and a Post-Baccalaureate Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
