Amber Smigiel is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in public affairs and social media strategy. Currently serving as a Public Affairs Specialist for the National Park Service since September 2024, Amber previously held the position of Communication Specialist at the Minnesota Nurses Association from December 2019 to September 2024. Prior roles include Social Media Strategist at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and a Public Affairs Specialist focused on social media at the National Park Service, where a significant increase of 230% in social media followers was achieved from 2014 to 2017. Amber began their career with the Peace Corps as an Online Communication Specialist and has held various roles in marketing and communications, including Marketing Copywriter at WhiteFence and Product Marketing Specialist at IFMA. Education includes a Bachelor's of Science in Public Relations from Northern Michigan University and studies at the University of Michigan-Flint.
