Andy Lane has extensive experience in the field of oceanography and numerical modeling, currently serving as a Database and Web Technologies Specialist at the Natural Environment Research Council's National Oceanography Centre since April 2010. Prior to this role, Andy Lane worked as a Mathematician/Physicist at the Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory from February 1989 to March 2010, focusing on coastal ocean and ecosystem model applications and conducting process studies involving oceanographic sample collection and data analysis. Educational credentials include a Master of Science (MSc) in Physical Oceanography from the University College of North Wales (1990-1991) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Experimental Physics from the University of York (1985-1988).
