Rachel Medley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), serving as Chief of the Expedition and Exploration Division since February 2007. Medley's role focuses on exploring the ocean for national benefit, emphasizing the organization’s leadership in ocean exploration. Additionally, Medley has held positions such as Chief of the Customer Affairs Branch and Physical Scientist, and recently participated in the Presidents Management Council Interagency Rotation Program as a Program Analyst, concentrating on Environmental Justice Policy and Implementation. Educationally, Medley holds a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from Mount Holyoke College, two Master of Science degrees in Geological and Earth Sciences and Ocean Mapping, a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University, and a Leadership Education and Development Certificate from the OPM Center for Leadership.
