Elizabeth Asher is a CIRES Research Scientist III at NOAA and a Visiting Scientist at NCAR, focusing on atmospheric distributions of volatile organic compounds using a developed instrument known as the Whole Air Sampling Pilotless Platform (WASPP). Prior experiences include working as an ASP Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Scientist II at NOAA, where Elizabeth investigated aerosols and trace gas emissions relevant to climate and air quality. Academic background includes a Ph.D. in Oceanography from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor's Degree in Earth Science from Dartmouth College, complemented by experiences in atmospheric instrumentation and mentoring graduate students. Elizabeth has also contributed to the sports community as an athlete and brand ambassador, engaging in competitive rock climbing and promoting clean energy initiatives.
